University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

I was born in Allentown, PA, but lived with my family in Hackettstown, NJ until I left for college as a first generation college student. Currently I am working as a Minor League Video Trainee for the Atlanta Braves (Single-A Affiliate Rome Braves). I am a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a B.A. in Economics, minoring in Entrepreneurship with a concentration in athletics. I also pitched for the club baseball team.

My best subject is math and it carried throughout high school and college. My experience from earning a national scholarship from the Horatio Alger Association for Distinguished Americans in 2011 influenced me to study economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but my time with UNC club baseball drove me to pursue a career in baseball.

To get to know me beyond academics and baseball, I also enjoy:

  • Wrestling / Volleyball - I worked part-time as a manager for Coach Joe Sagula and the UNC-Chapel Hill Women's Volleyball team for three years. During this time I spent the summer of 2013 working as a Facility Coordinator for Carolina Volleyball Summer Camps.  I am also a certified high school volleyball referee for the NCHSAA. For wrestling, I am a 2009 district medalist at 135 lbs and wrestled my freshman year at 141 lbs in 2011 for Rowan University.

  • Volunteering / Scouting - I am an Eagle Scout and my three year long project was valued at over $20,000. We fundraised and constructed a picnic pavilion to honor local military veterans to Vienna United Methodist Church in Vienna, NJ. Also, a 2013 mission trip to Haiti allowed me to volunteer in a children's orphanage for eight days.

  • Long Distance Running - I was the captain of the men's cross country team in HS and enjoy running 5k races. In the future, I plan to organize a transcontinental run from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean Forrest Gump-style.

  • Reading - My favorite books are Freakonomics and the Da Vinci Code. As a Tar Heel, I also love Duke Sucks: A Completely Evenhanded, Unbiased Investigation into the Most Evil Team on Planet Earth.

  • Traveling - I lived in Paris, France last summer while working a full-time internship. I have also traveled to Haiti,  Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands,  St. Kitts/Nevis and St. Thomas. My favorite places in the world are the Grand Canyon and the hydrothermal vents in Iceland.

  • Cooking eggs - I eat three to five eggs over-easy each morning.
